Anne and I were students together in Dublin and then were young Northern Irish girls together in London on the same post grad course. Our fun and friendship was then to be extended living nearby in north London during our early married lives. I always appreciated her friendship, warmth, humour and loving challenges and it has been so special spending more time together in these recent years with Anne, John and, of course, Beckett.
